MIDDLE SCHOOL UPCOMING EVENTS

OCTOBER
Oct. 5th - The Great Cash Stash.  For 6th grade students only. Meet in the Family Life Center upstairs from 4:00 - 5:30. Come with empty pockets and see how much cold hard cash you can fill your pockets with!
Oct. 19th - Church Picnic. This is for everyone at Christ the King to come and have fun with their families. This is a service opportunity for confirmation groups. Contact Mary Doering to let her know you would like to help out.
Oct. 31st - Trunk or Treat.  This is another service opportunity for confirmation groups. Contact Bernadette to let her know you would like to help out.
NOVEMBER
Nov. 9th - The Great Turkey Run. Come and compete with other teams as we scavenge Kingwood for food donations to give to a local food pantry.  The winning team gets a prize. Everyone receives the joy of helping those less fortunate. Meet in front of the student center at 1:30
Nov. 14th - 16th - Comfirmation Retreat. A weekend retreat for all confirmation students.
DECEMBER
Dec. 7th - Cookies, Carols, and Fun. 7th and 8th grade confirmation girls meet in the Student Center from 6:00 - 8:00p.m.
Dec. 7th - Boys Game Night.  7th and 8th grade confirmation boys meet in the gym from 6:00 - 8:00 for crazy, testosterone filled, ball throwing fun. 
Dec. 14th - Shopping Day. All middle school students will caravan over to the Woodlands Mall for those last minute gifts.

8th ANNUAL TURKEY RUN

Dear Tamara and students at Christ the King Lutheran Church,
Thank you so much for all the food you collected for the Seasons of Sharing program here at HAAM. We were overwhelmed by all that you collected. There is no way that we could help so many folks without the help of the community. The fact that you all are young students did not deter you from getting a tremendous response. Thank you for all your time and effort in being the hands and feet of Christ.

They say that you can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose.  Well, friends, I don't want to pick your nose, but I do want to pick your brain!  If you have heard of a really cool event or trip that a friend at another church has done, shoot me an email and let me know what it is.  I'm always looking for fun and fresh ideas for cool things for us to do!
